for context —
i’m not really sure why i'm here, to be honest. i’m supposed to be writing for a newspaper in dc right now, i mean that was always the plan. but, i wanted to stay close to my family, got offered a lot of money for a position at a massachusetts based mortgage servicing company and fell in love with a girl who had just signed a lease in boston, so i stayed.
of course, six months later, the world shut down and i was working 8+ hours a day, five days a week in my 750 square foot apartment, absolutely miserable. you know when you get to a point where you’re like ‘damn, if i don’t switch things up, i will lose my shit’? that was 100% me, and i desperately needed a creative outlet. just like that, hannah feakes photography was born.
as all amazing things do, wedding and couples photography kind of just fell in my lap. i started following photographers on social media and loved the work they were putting out and thought ‘if they can do that, so can i’ (which is how we should all live our lives, btw). that’s where this journey started for me — fast forward a year (wow, time flies when you’re happy), this business is my full time job, my day to day, my 24/7, my passion, my laser focus and my whole entire heart and soul.
the moral of this little life story is — initial plans change, everything happens for a reason and i truly believe that it's not coincidental that you are on my website right now.
you have no idea how grateful i am that you are here —
